Look how daddy to be Sky and radiant mama Bri were stunning during their mini session. Yes they look great but we also made them feel awesome while taking these gorgeous photos for them to treasure for a lifetime!
These gorgeous Navy soldiers got out of their uniforms and had a Romantic nuptial whimsical garden in old Town Alexandria, Virginia. It was just the two of them and the officiant performing the ceremony. And let me just tell you how dreamy it all was! My associate photographer Dee and I couldn't help but love every aspect of it all. No guests, no stress, just hugs and kisses under the sun! HOOAH!! Love Wins!
Experimenting with ideas; and making dreams come to life is what we should be about. Let's empower each other on a daily basis not just once a year!
Check out the lighting, filter and all together yummy layers on this beautiful babe Lilian my muse ... #gorgforlife
This shoot was inspired by Queen Bey herself, good vibes, early morning walks, sligo creek and childhood dreams of truly loving yourself!
Thank you Lilian for coming to play with us ....Love our short-n-sweet shoot at the creek.

You're school friends will miss you when you're gone to other adventures after graduation so why not take your senior pictures with us so they can remember you by like Gabriella, this bubbly burst of joy who came all the way from Texas to have me take her portraits to celebrate her senior year. I loved hearing all about her big plans for the future as we made our way around Glenview Mansion in the Rockville Civic Center Park area in such a gorgeous yet windy day.
Thank you Gabby for having me take your photos darlin! Love you!!!
Fall and spring are two of the most popular times of the year for engagement photos. Spring blooms and fall leaves are gorgeous, so it’s a great time to schedule your photo session!
Engagement photo sessions are also usually the first time you work with your photographer, and the first time you and your fiance have professional photos taken together. That can be super-exciting….but it can also make brides and grooms a little nervous because you don’t know what to expect, what to do, how to act, or what to wear.
I can’t tell you how many times couples have arrived at photo sessions, and they’ve told us how nervous they are. But, by the time we’re in the middle of the session, they say how easy it is and how much fun they’re having! We really try our best to make it a fun, relaxed photo session where couples can be themselves. That’s the sweet spot where we get great photos of you, who you are as an individual and also as a couple.
Engagement photo shoots help us build rapport with you before the wedding day. We also often find that couples are more relaxed about photos when the wedding day arrives because they’ve already worked with us at their engagement photo shoot. You are more relaxed in front of our cameras, and you know what to expect!
Many couples have two outfits for their engagement session. They start the photo session wearing dressy clothes, and then change into more casual clothes (or vice versa). Consider bringing an outfit to change into mid-way through your session.
Suggestions on What to Wear
- Choose comfortable clothes: If you’re not comfortable, it will be noticeable in the pictures. Also, wear comfortable shoes if your location will include a lot of walking. But don’t wear tennis shoes! More like choose to wear cute flats or boots with a low heel rather than 5-inch stilettos.
- Choose clothing that compliments your personality: Make sure your clothes look like “you” and fit your personality.
- Coordinate your clothing with each other: Wear clothes that are the same level of “dressyness.” and wear similar shades that compliment each other. Choose clothes that look best on you.
- Choose clothes to compliment your location: If you are taking pictures in a field or the mountains, consider clothes with more natural colors. And if you are taking pictures in a downtown area, you might consider more urban clothes with bolder colors.
- Choose colors that compliment your skin tone: For example, if you have light skin, white clothing can wash out your complexion in photographs.
Chelsea mentioned to Sam that she really wanted to have their portraits done for their first year anniversary. They are from Cincinnati but were going to be in the DC area visiting family so they decided to celebrate their anniversary here with a photoshoot. They found us via Yelp, adored our previous work and enjoyed our reviews and long story short hired us to photograph them.

A couple who share a love for books found us via Thumbtack and I'm so thankful they did because their idea for having an engagement portrait session in a library was brilliant. We clicked right away and a few hours later we were headed to Georgetown library to meet for the portrait session. Brandy, from Texas and Royce from Colorado were all giddy and so in love when I saw them walking up to the building to meet me. I loved them right away; their energy was inviting and their enthusiasm was fun to work with. When the session was over after they spoiled me with some blush wine at a French bistro, Bonaparte Cafe, I didn't want to leave my new friends behind but I had to go to another gig for more photography adventures. Nonetheless, it was a photo shoot for the books...literally.. HA!
Congrats my lovely new amigos
Ana and Constantine are expecting their first baby and its a girl! Heres an adorable photo session that we did for them at Mcgrills Garden in Bethesda. She will be so sweet like the parents! Congrats!!
Me and my Makeup artist Thais had the pleasure of working with Kay, a gorgeous local female entrepreneur who is also a single mom. #WOMANPOWER !! What an inspiration...OMG! We did two looks for her portrait session in Old town Alexandria, VA. Not sure which one look is our favorite because she rocked them both so well. These Portraits are not stiff but carefree and that is exactly what she wanted. Making the client happy and feeling beautiful = priceless goal. Plus we live for smiles like hers. Cheers to you Kay!
I had the pleasure of photographing these two peas in a pod, my friends, Keila and Toti, to celebrate their engagement and I was floored with their beautiful admiration for one another while capturing moments between the two of them. We strolled around Georgetown near the Canal and up to the M St. and even though it was cold we hardly didn't care because we were having such a blast doing this shoot. If I got a cold it was totally worth it. I literally couldn't be more happier for them on this new journey and with the results of these amazing images too ...See for yourselves below - come on you know you love them.
Congratulations once again amigos queridos!!

I'm so freaking ecstatic that I got to photograph my friends engagement and wedding day. Ana and Wes are the goofiest and kindest bunch of love birds and I'm so blessed to call them my friends. Ana's been there for me since the beginning of my career, actually since the first time I fell in love with photography which was during high school when attending the Art and Humanities Magnet School, James Hubert Blake HS. I felt the love during these moments documented below and I hope you may feel it too. Congratulations to Ana and Wes and their happy ever after ending.
